The bonds I create with my partners, whether they have 4, 6, or 8 legs, are something I strive to showcase and honor through my work. In sharing one’s life with an animal, it is inevitable that they work their way into your heart. I had not expected, when I began my project, that I would give every silkworm a name, learn their personalities, or mourn them at the end of their short lives. I did not expect to ever find a bug to be beautiful. It seems that anything can be beautiful when you look at it with love.
